Dear praying friends,
> Much has transpired since our last update--it seems like a blur...
>
> 1. We welcomed 7 new church members on February 21st. It's been a
> blessing hearing their testimonies of how God has worked in their
> hearts in their various different countries and led them to England.
> And it's such a blessing having a wealth of cultures in our tiny
> church! A Nigerian lady who started attending New Years Eve, has asked
> to be baptized.
> 2. We had only 4 people from the community come to help out on our Big
> Tidy Up Day to clean up rubbish from the local park (maybe because it
> was a cold grey day) - but one of these, a young Muslim dad, since
> then has been attending our Men's Conversational English class and
> George is developing a friendship with him.
> 3. Karen was surprised to have a young Muslim mom she'd had previous
> contact with, show up at her ESL class at the church Friday morning.
> She asked if she could come and bring her 4 month old baby daughter
> along. What fun having a cute little baby, the same age as our
> granddaughter Sophia in the class - and her name is almost the same -
> Saffia!
> 4. Karen has opportunity now to teach a second ESL class for Muslim
> ladies at the church. It will begin in mid March when the class she's
> been helping in twice a week at the local school comes to a close.
> 5. A Muslim lady in a church member's sewing class asked for counsel
> from George and I regarding problems she is having with her teenaged
> son. We were able to come alongside and encourage her and pray with
> her. She was quite receptive. Pray that God would work in her heart
> and in the life of her son.
> 6. A Punjabi lady from our church has a husband who has been against
> her belief in Christ but recently he started reading the Bible. Since
> then, he suffered a serious heart attack but is now out of the
> hospital, recuperating at home. Pray God works in his heart.
> 7. Recently, a blind Punjabi man began attending our Sunday morning
> service. He has a longstanding warm place in his heart for Jesus, but
> we're not sure how well he understands God's grace and forgiveness
> through Christ. Pray for Tony.
> 8. Please pray for the salvation of unsaved youth/spouses of church
> members.
>
> Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We know it is only as
> God works in hearts that we can make any headway sharing the gospel
> with the people in our community here.
>
> Yours in the gospel of God's grace,
>
> George and Karen King
