Kevin's main work is directing the
ministry at ECWA Curriculum Centre which provides
theological material in the Hausa Language for students
studying to be pastors and evangelists. Kevin has been
working on producing a commentary on all the Old
Testament books of the Bible. Joyce has completed the
basic unit of the chaplaincy studies program and will be
serving the Lord in ministry with Kevin.

Richardson Report
Nigeria-Bound-August-3-2009
We want to give you an update on our travel to Nigeria. In our
previous letter we mentioned our plan to travel in early July.
However, we have delayed so that we can enjoy a family wedding
on August 1st : Joyce’s brother, Vernon, is marrying
Evelyn. We are now booked to leave on August 3rd and
arrive in Abuja, the capital city, very early on the morning of
the 5th.
Visas:
Good news! Our visas arrived yesterday (July 20) after a bit of
a delay.
We are very grateful to you who have given or pledged toward the
cost of our trip: this cost has been substantially met. And a
good portion of our monthly support shortfall to the end of June
has been covered by one-time donations. However, we are in need
of those who would give support on an ongoing basis. In
addition, we would love to be able to help meet some of the many
needs of the poor –friends with HIV/AIDS, widows, seminary
students, etc., as monies come to our ministry account.
We ask you to begin praying for our trip:
·
Pray for safety in the air and on those roads.
·
Pray that we would stay healthy.
·
Pray that we would have good interactions with folk there. We
want to catch the current Nigeria SIM/ECWA vision and catch up
on various ministries. Kevin hopes to arrange for the printing
of Bible Commentaries in the Hausa language that he has
completed editing. Joyce will be connecting with the Seminary
and Hospital regarding chaplaincy and counselling. Pray for
wisdom, discernment and joy in this venture.
Thank you for participating with us,
Kevin & Joyce Richardson
